Grease Route Driver- Class A Night Shift

Job Summary
The Grease Route Driver is responsible for operation of a grease collection truck to collect cooking oil while providing quality service to our customers.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Pump or load grease containers; ensure cleanliness of container and surrounding area; returns container with screen and lock secured; notes any damages to container or corral area; properly completes route ticket with customer signature.
- Responsible for established route as assigned.
- Responsible for company vehicle; keeps vehicle in clean condition.
- Conducts all safety checks and inspections of vehicle; operates vehicle under state, federal, local regulations and in accordance with company policy and procedures; observes all company safety rules.
- Attendance at all safety meetings required; may be asked to serve on Safety Committee.
- Maintain excellent customer relations by presenting professional appearance and attitude.
- Responsible for completing all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies (route tickets, driver vehicle inspection reports, accident reports, mileage reports, service forms, etc).
- Maintain and update vehicle condition report on a daily basis.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be 21 years of age with clean MVR.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience operating similar vehicle to grease route truck.
- Current class A CDL holder with tanker endorsements.
- Must register on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov
- Must accept Darling Ingredient's Drug and Alcohol Request on Clearinghouse website.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior route experience within a customer oriented environment preferred.
- Works well with others in a team environment.
- Dependable; reliable; ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
- Good math and communication skills.
- Knowledge of safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle and general maintenance.
Physical Demands
- Constantly required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
- Frequently lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly required reach with hands and arms.
Work Environment
Job functions will be carried out in a commercial motor vehicle, customer locations, and plant environment.
