GRCES Kids Care Staff - Lead Teachers for 26–27 school year

About the Role

Grand Rapids Christian Elementary School (GRCES) is seeking Lead Teachers for the Kids Care Program at both the Evergreen and Iroquois Campuses. Kids Care is a licensed child care program providing quality before and after-school care for families during the school year. This is a part-time, school-year, hourly position.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment and active supervision for students by following all licensing guidelines
• Plan, prepare, deliver, and participate in games, crafts, and activities with children
• Manage attendance
• Clean and organize the daily learning spaces
• Communicate with parents
• Coordinate with Kids Care team members

Requirements

• High school graduate (or GED) and at least 19 years of age
• Experience working with children
• Preferred to have or be working toward a degree in a child-related field, or have an Early Childhood Credential
• CPR/First Aid Certified (can be completed after employment)
• Complete and pass the state-required background check
• Complete required, on-going trainings, if offered the position
• Be able to sit on the floor with children and move around for long periods of time

Reports to: Early Learning Center Program Administrator (Evergreen Campus) or Preschool Program Administrator (Iroquois Campus). Coordinates with: Kids Care Coordinator (Evergreen Campus) or Preschool Administrative Assistant (Iroquois Campus).
