The Sales Training Program at WITN is part of Gray Media. WITN is the #1 television station in Eastern Carolina and offers the best Digital marketing resources in the business. Our stations include WITN, MeTV, MyTV & Telemundo ENC. The viewing area includes much of eastern North Carolina, including Greenville, Jacksonville, New Bern, Morehead City & the Outer Banks.

General Responsibilities

General responsibilities include:

• Learning how to prospect and identify new business opportunities
• Practicing real cold calls (with coaching—not guesswork)
• Building client presentations and proposals
• Supporting digital and broadcast sales strategies
• Working alongside experienced Media Executives and Sales Leaders
• Participating in weekly training designed to accelerate your growth

What You'll Learn

You will learn:

• How to confidently start conversations with clients
• How to sell multi-platform advertising solutions (TV + Digital)
• How to build and present a winning pitch
• How to manage a pipeline and grow revenue

Details about the Sales Training Program include:

• Flexible hours (part-time, designed for students)
• Paid internship opportunities available across Gray Media markets nationwide
• Qualifications: Be currently enrolled in a college/university, preferably in your senior year. Strong work ethic and organizational skills. College student, seniors preferred, earning a degree in Journalism/Communications, Sales, or related fields, with a desire to get hands-on experience in the local media industry.
• Intern rate of pay can range from your state's minimum wage to $15 an hour
