About the Role
This Sales Training Program is a hands-on, real-world internship designed to teach the fundamentals of media sales and build transferable career skills. Unlike traditional internships, this program actively involves interns in sales from day one, providing practical experience rather than passive observation. The internship lasts 10 weeks and is structured to help participants develop confidence and competence in sales, marketing, or media.
Responsibilities
- Learn how to prospect and identify new business opportunities
- Practice real cold calls with coaching and feedback
- Build client presentations and proposals
- Support digital and broadcast sales strategies
- Work alongside experienced Media Executives and Sales Leaders
- Participate in weekly training designed to accelerate professional growth

Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a college or university, preferably in your senior year
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills
- Pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications, Sales, or a related field
- Desire to gain hands-on experience in the local media industry
Pay
The intern rate of pay ranges from minimum wage in your state to $15 an hour.
