About the role
Responsible for driving a delivery truck to transport dietary supplement products to various customers.
Schedule
12:00 AM - 8:30 AM. 10 or 12 hour shifts and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
- Have satisfactory, verifiable experience and/or appropriate training in the operation of a 26,000 lbs. GVWR 26ft box truck.
- Obtain and maintain a current DOT medical certification meeting the requirements set forth by Section 391.41, and corporate requirements.
- Properly load, unload, and secure cargo including all related duties.
- Accurately and legibly complete all required paperwork associated with the delivery of freight.
- Complete all other tasks assigned by management for which the employee is qualified and physically able to perform, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Meet all Federal and State requirements for certification and CDL licensing for Class A, combination vehicle with airbrakes, including current DOT medical certification, meeting the requirements set forth by Section 391.41, and corporate requirements.
- Ensure inventory loads match shipping papers.
- Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures.
- Support company, department goals, programs, and activities.
- Work with all levels of management throughout the organization.
- Develop a team-oriented process to attain department and company objectives.
- Monitor traffic conditions to avoid delays.
- Read and interpret maps and GPS directions.
- Inspect and maintain vehicle, adding fluids and oil as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR).
- One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with a 26ft, 26k lbs. box truck (no CDL required).
- DOT medical card.
- English proficiency.
Skills
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit, climb, or balance.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds.
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to tolerate conditions associated with no air conditioning or heat.
