About the role
Grass Volleyball Hosts are responsible for creating a fun, organized, and social league experience each night. From setting up the nets to keeping games running smoothly, this role is all about bringing the energy, supporting players, and making sure everyone has a great time on and off the court. This is a part-time role, perfect for someone who enjoys being outside, staying active, and building community.
Responsibilities
- Set up and break down volleyball equipment, including nets, lines, and balls
- Ensure games start on time and run smoothly throughout the night
- Welcome teams, check players in, and create a fun, inclusive environment
- Serve as the main point of contact for players, answering questions and resolving minor issues
- Keep games moving and assist with basic rule guidance when needed
- Communicate with the office regarding any equipment, player, or field issues
- Maintain a clean, organized playing area at the end of the night
Requirements
- Must have a reliable car and valid driver’s license
- Must be able to lift and transport volleyball equipment
- Must be available to work weeknights
- Comfortable working outdoors and on your feet for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, outgoing attitude
