Graphics Art Proofer

About the role

Under the supervision and direction of the Director, this role requires the ability to perform each essential function satisfactorily, including proofreading and editing artwork and other materials, comparing and checking paperwork, and inspecting plate files for printing issues.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with Designers about art edits and fixes
• Knowledge of Insite, Kodak Prinergy
• Track jobs to keep plates on schedule
• Work under high pressure to meet fast deadlines
• Maintain good working relationships with production, Sales, and Customer Service
• Follow instructions and work collaboratively with others
• Understand and recognize traps, stepping out, repeats, and prepress issues
• Understand the production process
• Protect company value by maintaining confidentiality of information
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities

Schedule

• Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
