Graphic Designer (Part-Time, Remote)
About the role
TapeManBlue is the leading eCommerce brand of tapes and protective films. We're looking for our next sole designer—someone who owns the full spectrum of our design work, from product graphics for our Amazon listings to brand materials for our growing direct channels.
Hours & Schedule: 13 hrs/week — no set schedule, so it fits around your life. Most hours should fall within 9–5 M–F, and your time should be spread across the week (not batched into a single block) to keep work & communication flowing.
Location: Fully remote — our entire team is remote & spread across the U.S. (you must be U.S.-based). We meet once a year for an in-person retreat.
Reports to: Marketing Manager — you’ll work closely with marketing and our CEO. We're a small, tight-knit team.
Type: Part-time W2 employee (not a 1099 independent contractor).
Responsibilities
- Amazon listing design: For every product we sell, build a full creative package: a main image, infographics, A+ content modules, and a motion graphic video. Most of this is templated in Figma; your work involves executing new versions with product-specific details, copy, and imagery for both new product launches (frequent) and optimizations of existing listings to lift click-through rate, improve conversion, reduce returns, and enhance customer experience.
- Brand & sales design: Design new materials for our expanding direct-sales channels, including product catalogs, direct mailers, sample-kit boxes, email graphics, brochures, and other marketing collateral. Work from brand guidelines and competitor references to create strong, creative designs without relying on templates.
- Photo editing & AI imagery: Generate AI imagery (clean product shots and in-use/lifestyle photos) or retouch iPhone photos into polished, on-brand images. Comfort with AI image generation and solid photo-editing skills are required.
Requirements
- Strong production discipline — execute within an established template system and brand guidelines quickly, accurately, and at volume without compromising quality or consistency.
- Real creative range — produce polished, on-brand original work from a brief alone.
- Figma fluency — our entire system lives in Figma; genuine comfort with the tool is essential. Experience in Adobe Illustrator is also useful.
- Photo editing + AI image generation — skilled in both retouching real photos and generating new imagery.
- Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented — meticulous about organization and accuracy, with a preference for tidy file management.
- Self-motivated — manage your own time, communicate clearly in writing, and move work forward with minimal meetings and check-ins.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects — keep several launches, optimizations, and brand projects moving simultaneously without dropping details.
- Ecommerce/marketplace design experience — understand that graphics exist to drive clicks, conversion, and clarity, not just aesthetics.
Schedule
13 hours per week, flexible but spread across the week (not batched into a single block). Most hours should fall within 9 AM–5 PM, Monday–Friday.
