Graphic Designer - Loungefly

About the role
As a Graphic Designer at Loungefly, you will be responsible for concepting, developing, and executing product designs, materials, sketches, trims, and hardware across a wide range of accessories. This role requires a strong eye for fashion and style, along with the ability to bring forward fresh trends, innovative techniques, and new silhouettes that inspire and elevate the team’s creative direction. You will work closely with directors and managers within the creative team.
Responsibilities
- Research emerging accessory trends and translate insights into fresh, market-relevant concepts.
- Develop original ideas that differentiate Loungefly and drive innovation within the category.
- Concept innovative bag silhouettes and product ideas that push beyond traditional accessory design.
- Design figural character bags that balance creativity, function, and brand appeal.
- Illustrate original character art and graphics while adhering to licensor guidelines and brand standards.
- Select materials, finishes, and design details that enhance storytelling and support each licensed product.
- Apply a variety of techniques, applications, and construction details across multiple product types.
- Understand costing parameters when designing products and selecting materials, techniques, and finishes.
- Sketch, mockup, and prototype concepts that align with brand style guides and product vision.
- Maintain Loungefly brand integrity and uphold a high standard of creative excellence across all designs.
- Collaborate effectively across teams while also managing projects independently in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Expert-level skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop).
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Product Design or Development (or similar degree) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2–6 years of experience in fashion/softlines creative, graphic design, or product design and development or related experience.
- Strong eye for fashion/style, new trends, and techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a practical, common-sense approach to getting things done.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Interest in pop culture and full understanding of licensing.
Pay
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $70,304 - $82,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. Base pay is one part of the total package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work; this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.

Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
This is an on-site position based in Burbank, CA. Local candidates will be considered first.
