Graphic Designer & Exhibitions Coordinator
Position Accountabilities And Essential Function
The Graphic Designer & Exhibitions Coordinator designs all printed and digital materials for community programs, including flyers, posters, and recruitment advertisements. They manage CAP social media accounts and coordinate with the CCS Marketing department for website updates. They produce professional presentation decks for internal and external stakeholders and assist with the design of grant-related PDF portfolios and image selections. They manage digital registration forms and updates program information across campus-wide communication channels (Weekly Email and Campus Screens).
The position leads photography and videography efforts for CAP events; maintains a structured digital archive using established file-naming conventions on shared drives. They oversee the full lifecycle of CAP exhibitions, including the planning calendar, installation schedules, de-installation logistics, and return of artwork to community students. They facilitate the collection of student artwork and documentation; assist Directors and Managers in artwork selection and curation.
The position directs the physical installation of exhibitions, including artwork preparation, matting, framing, and hanging. They supervise CAP Teaching Artists, Work Study students, and Interns in artwork preparation, instillation, and de-instillation for exhibitions. They coordinate with CCS event and exhibition staff regarding gallery space and equipment. They manage the intake and return of all physical artwork; maintain the “Director’s Choice” selection catalog and ensure secure hand-off of artworks back to the student artists.
The position produces all gallery signage, invitations, and individual artwork labels.
Qualifications And Experience
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat)
- Familiarity with Lightroom and Premiere Pro for multimedia content
- Systems Management: Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Classroom), Asana project management software, and Zoom
- Professional Communication: Experience managing organizational social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube)
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks associated with gallery installation, including handling artwork and using basic hand tools for mounting
