About the role
Young America’s Foundation (YAF) is seeking a talented, mission-driven Graphic Designer to join our team at our National Headquarters in Reston, Virginia. This role is ideal for a creative professional who is passionate about visual storytelling and eager to advance YAF’s mission by producing compelling, high-impact designs that engage students, donors, and supporters nationwide. The Graphic Designer will play a key role in shaping YAF’s visual identity across print, digital, and event-based platforms.
Responsibilities
- Create and refine high-quality graphics for YAF programs and events
- Design materials, including brochures, invitations, reports, social media graphics, and ads
- Ensure consistent branding across all platforms
- Collaborate with YAF’s Programs, Development, and Communications teams on an ongoing basis
- Develop graphics to grow YAF’s digital presence
- Train and advise students on branding and campus promotions
- Support event execution and visual presentation
- Maintain and organize design assets and brand guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Commitment to the mission of Young America’s Foundation
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Strong understanding of design principles and branding
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with YAF is a plus
Work Environment & Expectations
This is a full-time, on-site position based at YAF’s National Headquarters in Reston, Virginia. Occasional travel is required to support YAF programs and events. Candidate must adhere to YAF policies and procedures as outlined in the Staff Manual.
Pay
$60,000 to 80,000
