About the role
Perform a variety of duties involved in the design and layout of printed and graphic materials; perform routine and complex duties in the preparation of printing specifications.
Work Performed
- Prepare design layouts and specifications for posters, booklets, brochures and other printed and graphic materials.
- Maintain a consistent identity of the University of Pittsburgh by following the departmental brand guidelines while meeting University's marketing requirements.
- Meet with SSW partners as needed to develop design concepts, gather information, discuss alternatives, gain approval and review publications.
- Maintain liaison with SSW partners to communicate job specifications and ensure deadlines are met.
- Keep abreast of recent developments and technologies in the graphic arts field.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Education
Work requires the ability to perform skilled and creative graphic arts functions generally acquired through two years post-secondary training in graphic or commercial arts or a related field.
Experience
Work generally requires 5-10 years of graphic arts or related experience to acquire knowledge of and skill in design and layout methods and techniques. Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- All Temps department assignment.
Schedule
Casual. Remote: Teams working from different locations (off-campus).
Pay
Requested pay rate: $23.
