Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and produce high-quality creative assets across print, digital, environmental, presentation, social media, advertising, email, and web channels.
- Collaborate on visual development for strategic marketing and communications campaigns, translating organizational objectives into compelling visual concepts.
- Apply and reinforce brand standards while identifying opportunities to evolve and strengthen visual identity across platforms.
- Research and incorporate emerging design trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand project goals, audience insights, and develop design solutions that achieve measurable outcomes.
- Collaborate with writers, photographers, videographers, developers, and vendors to create integrated, cohesive storytelling experiences.
- Present design rationale and creative recommendations to supervisors, leadership, and stakeholders, incorporating feedback while advocating for effective design solutions.
- Prepare, organize, and manage production-ready design files and creative assets for print and digital distribution, ensuring technical accuracy, accessibility, quality standards, and alignment with project requirements.
- Maintain organized storage, version control, and accessibility of digital design assets in accordance with established digital asset management practices.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrated expertise in typography, layout, branding, color theory, and visual communication principles.
- Expertise with industry-standard design software, including Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
- Ability to develop creative work across both print, digital, and other media.
- Detail oriented with excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively influencing stakeholders and collaborating across functional teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, fine arts, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional graphic design experience.
- Experience applying accessibility standards and inclusive design principles to digital, print, or multimedia communications.
- Experience with web design principles, user experience concepts, and content management systems.
- Experience contributing to integrated brand campaigns and multi-channel marketing initiatives.
- Motion graphics, illustration, or basic video editing experience.
- Experience in a higher education, research, or healthcare organization.
