About the role
MAS Event and Design LLC is seeking a skilled Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team. This contractor position offers remote work opportunities with occasional onsite travel as needed.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to visual exploration, concept development, and the implementation of design systems across conference, experiential, and attendee-facing touchpoints.
- Explore visual directions, develop concepts, and create iterations that align with the overarching creative vision and client objectives.
- Design environmental graphics, signage systems, wayfinding, registration experiences, sponsor environments, digital assets, and attendee communications.
- Develop, extend, and apply scalable visual systems across multiple event applications while maintaining consistency and attention to detail.
- Collaborate closely with the Graphics Art Director, producers, content teams, spatial designers, and broader creative team throughout the design process.
- Create layouts, presentations, and visual storytelling materials with exceptional attention to detail.
- Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and contribute throughout the project lifecycle from concept development through final production and event rollout.
- Prepare production-ready artwork, print files, and print grids while maintaining technical accuracy and quality standards.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience designing for conferences, trade shows, branded environments, experiential marketing programs, or large-scale events.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating experiential graphics, environmental design, visual systems, signage, wayfinding, and brand implementation across physical and digital touchpoints.
- Strong understanding of typography, color, composition, visual hierarchy, and layout principles across both environmental and digital applications.
- Experience developing and extending visual systems across multiple formats, audiences, and environments.
- Ability to work within established brand systems while contributing thoughtful visual solutions and helping evolve visual languages across experiential touchpoints.
- Confidence taking creative ownership of assigned work while remaining open to feedback, collaboration, and creative direction.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), experience with Figma, and familiarity with design systems that support consistency and scalability.
- Ability to independently own workstreams, manage priorities, and move projects forward with minimal oversight.
- Proactive, self-directed approach to problem solving with the ability to adapt to evolving project needs and timelines.
- Strong understanding of large-format production, print specifications, color management, material considerations, and production workflows.
- Experience interpreting floorplans, technical drawings, and spatial layouts and applying graphics appropriately within physical environments.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong presentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Illustration, motion, or information design experience is a plus.
Qualifications
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Comfortable working in Google Suite and proficient in Google Slides.
- Ability to translate design systems and creative assets into scalable, print-ready experiential applications while maintaining visual consistency, technical accuracy, and production quality.
- Strong environmental graphics, typography, and layout skills.
- Experience translating creative concepts into production-ready experiential graphics across conferences, events, and branded environments.
- Strong understanding of how graphics function within physical environments, including scale, visibility, guest flow, and wayfinding considerations.
- Ability to balance conceptual thinking with production execution.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to design quality.
- Ability to collaborate effectively while operating independently when needed.
- Integrity, accountability, and enthusiasm in support of a collaborative creative culture.

Pay
The starting hourly rate for this role is between $50 - $100. Our salary ranges are based on third-party national average market compensation analysis. The actual rate is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands.
