Graphic Designer
About the role
At FASTSIGNS of Hilliard, great design is about more than making something look good. We're looking for a graphic designer who can translate project specifications into accurate, production-ready artwork with minimal rework. You'll need strong Adobe Illustrator skills, an eye for design, and the attention to detail to get the little things right—from spelling and alignment to dimensions and production requirements. We create custom signage and visual communications for businesses of all sizes, from simple decals and banners to complex environmental graphics and signage programs. This is a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you'll work on a wide variety of projects, often balancing multiple jobs and deadlines. Successful candidates will enjoy both the creative and technical sides of graphic design.
Responsibilities
- Create and modify artwork for a wide range of custom signage and visual communication projects.
- Translate customer artwork, design requests, and work orders into accurate proofs and production-ready files.
- Apply strong design fundamentals, including typography, color, composition, balance, and visual hierarchy.
- Prepare, organize, and optimize Adobe Illustrator files for efficient production.
- Review your own work for accuracy before submitting proofs or releasing files to production, checking spelling, alignment, fonts, dimensions
