Broadway Across America (BAA) is the foremost market leader for live touring theatre in North America, with a presence in 47 regional markets. BAA possesses local marketing rights, secures performance venues, manages local event production, and sells tickets through subscriptions, groups, eCLUB membership, and single tickets. The business is supported by a 4 million-name database of ticket buyers across the United States and Canada. BAA also owns or operates five historic theaters in Baltimore, Boston, and Minneapolis.

About the Role

The Marketing division of Broadway Across America is seeking a motivated individual to join the in-house creative team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate is creative, collaborative, and focused on creating attractive and functional marketing assets. The creative team designs marketing collateral for regional campaigns, including responsive and accessible emails, digital display ads, print, outdoor, social media graphics, and video editing. Deliverables will support marketing and advertising plans for hundreds of touring Broadway performances across 25+ North American cities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with concepting, designing, and/or coding marketing collateral, including emails, digital display ads, print, outdoor, video, and social media graphics, balancing show aesthetics with local brand identity.
  • Receive and incorporate feedback from the Director of Creative, Senior Graphic Designer, regional marketing teams, and productions, making necessary revisions.
  • Prioritize and manage workload to complete projects from concept to final deliverable.
  • Collaborate with regional marketing teams to support local initiatives with creative assets.

    • Basic knowledge of graphic design fundamentals (layouts, typography, composition, color).
    • Understanding of web and mobile responsive design.
    • Basic experience with HTML coding.
    • Strong visual aesthetics and a compelling portfolio of graphic design work.
    • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
    • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in HTML coding, with experience coding emails and websites.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, WordPress, and CSS is a plus.
  • Motion graphics and video editing experience (After Effects and Premiere Pro) is a plus.
  • Graphic design work experience (freelance, full-time, part-time, or internship) is required.
  • Undergraduate or associate’s degree in graphic design is preferred.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret creative briefs and HTML/CSS code.
  • Effectively present information to national and regional marketing teams.
  • Resolve conflicts and balance competing priorities between production and local brand identities.
  • Solve layout and information design challenges within project specifications.
  • Create accessible assets for audiences with diverse physical and cognitive abilities.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and frequently uses a computer, keyboard, and mouse (or equivalent).
