Graphic Designer

About the role

Come make Bird Rock look as good as it tastes. We’ve been roasting and serving coffee in San Diego since 2006, and our cafes, bags, menus and emails are where our brand meets the people who love it. We’re looking for a Graphic Designer who can keep all of that warm, welcoming and polished (but never fussy). You’ll be the go-to creative for our cafes and marketing team, turning requests into thoughtful, on-brand design and helping us tell our story across print and digital.

Responsibilities

• Design email campaigns and social posts twice a week
• Manage, assess and refresh in-cafe signage (digital and print) every week
• Create food and beverage menus, retail and wholesale coffee bag labels, and merchandise mockups
• Lend a hand at our seasonal photoshoots
• Audit our website regularly so it stays visually consistent and easy to use
• Join a weekly creative team meeting to brainstorm and shape promo briefs
• Work directly with print vendors on production needs
• Keep your files organized so the whole team can find and use them

Requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Google Workspace and Monday.com
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• The ability to work independently while staying a great teammate
• Strong organization, attention to detail and time management in a fast-paced setting

Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional graphic design experience
• A portfolio that shows us your range
• Experience with vendor communication and print production
