Responsibilities
- Maintain a strong sense of communication between business and creative types
- Responsible both to review the work of other designers to help give guidance and feedback to help align with business needs, as well as be the point person between Design/Sales/PD to hear feedback and produce solutions for cross-functional departments.
- Execute on the design of garment hangtags, logos, mockups, production approval, retouching of images and print layouts; oversee all design elements from initial concept to final delivery.
- Fully responsible for the layout of packaging artwork across the team: must understand die-lines; execute on all design principles including layout, typography, and color theory; and maintain a strong sense of grid structure.
- Maintain high level of quality and make sure only the best work/concepts are released.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to drive digital creativity, website, and trend sheets.
Requirements/Qualifications
- 5-7 years’ experience working as a Packaging Designer; management or leadership experience is preferred, but not required for the right candidate.
- Master at Adobe Suite: Illustrator & Photo Shop required; Premier a plus
- Demonstrated ability to adapt brand guidelines to multiple uses; also need to have a strong eye for design aesthetics and visual details.
- Experience with Squarespace or CSS or HTML5 is a plus.
