About the internship program

Tillamook County Creamery Association (TCCA)’s Summer Internship Program is a 10 to 12-week program for graduate and undergraduate students to join the Tillamook team and connect to our 115-year-old heritage. Our interns play a significant role in solving real-world business challenges and enjoy bites of our ice cream, cheese and beloved dairy products every step of the way. As a farmer-owned cooperative, we invite interns to visit the farms of our farmer-owners so they can see what cow care, environmental stewardship and the daily operations of a dairy farm look like, up close. In addition to the farm tour, we host multiple enriching experiences throughout the duration of the program, that include being an honorary Tillamook taste bud for the day with our immersive cheese and ice cream tastings, “college-inspired” cooking class with our executive chef, resume & interview workshop, sales market tours and more. This role is based out of our office in Portland, Oregon. The application window will be open until the position is filled or until we reach our cap of 100 applicants; we will review applications and move selected candidates through our interview process with the goal of having all interns identified no later than the end of the year.

How this work makes an impact

Enable our best work means giving the sales team materials that hit as hard as our brand does on shelf. The right tools — elevated and innovative design, consistent templates, one source of truth — free the team from rebuilding collateral and make Tillamook show up premium, consistent, and differentiated in every pitch.

Responsibilities

  • Research best-in-class sales, sell-in, and pitch materials and presentations and bring them to life at Tillamook across a wide variety of disciplines (3D event design, motion design, potentially sound and scent design).
  • Create sell-in sheets and other sales materials in a variety of media: print, interactive, digital.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to translate data sets and insights into effective creative presentations that drive sales results.
  • Research and understand emerging tech trends in the CPG space and how to apply them.
  • Support food service projects: landing page development, art direction, photo shoots, other sales materials.
  • Handle other graphic design related projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program (upper-class undergraduate or graduate student) and not due to graduate the semester prior to the internship.
  • Preferred fields of study: Graphic design, web design, multimedia studies.
  • Experienced in graphic design layout, photo manipulation, and output for print & digital.
  • Organized, able to convert sales data into compelling visual content, skilled at typographic layout, comfortable presenting work, and receiving feedback in a positive manner.
  • Proficient in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and MS Office (After Effects a plus).
