Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Operates computerized inventory software to load outbound trucks with product, communicating with drivers and other operation personnel as necessary.
• Provides drivers with outbound scale ticket and generates Bill of Lading.
• Affords backup to Production Operators by operating steam flakers, steam boilers, mixers, pellet mills, loaders and other equipment to meet production schedule and deliver product.
• Performs various other duties including but not limited to answering phones, cleaning the office, maintaining related files and inventory of supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• One or more years experience in milling and/or grain handling operations; or one year certificate from college or technical school in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requirements

• Weigh Master Certificate.
• Must be a licensed driver of single axle vehicles.
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in Windows based computer applications.
• 10-key desirable.
• Demonstrated knowledge of safety procedures and practices applicable to the operation of mill equipment.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
• The employee frequently is required to use hands/fingers to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance.
• The employee is regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
• The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
• The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions.
• The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to extreme heat and risk of electrical shock.
• The noise level in the work environment is occasionally very loud.

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
• The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.
• The noise level in the work environment is occasionally very loud.
