Grain Elevator Operator

The Basics

Location: Stella, NE
Compensation: $20/hr and up
Days/Hours: 1st shift, 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday-Friday, with some OT, including weekends.

Equipment Used

• Variety of grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs

Material Handled

• Bulk commodities: wheat, corn, soybeans, etc

Duties

The duties of this hands-on job will include:
Grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain;
Monitoring stored grain condition;
Maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• Must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check

Physical Requirements

• This job can be physically strenuous
• You will be expected to be able to work in tight and confined spaces
• You will work at heights
• You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
• This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders
• You will be required to wear PPE
