Graduate Trainee Environmental Health Officer

About the role

This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 3 years, working in a hybrid style based at home and the Dundee House office (37 hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Assist and support Regulatory Services staff in various areas of related work and service provision.
• Undertake structured practical training to meet the requirements of the REHIS Scheme of Professional Practice for trainee/student Environmental Health Officers.

Requirements

• BSc (Hons) in Environmental Health or a relevant science.
• Membership of an appropriate professional body (REHIS, CIWM, or IMS).
• Experience working in or providing services to the general public.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Office 365, Teams, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent organizational and development skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in report writing and delivering effective presentations.
• Ability to complete the 48-week training program associated with the REHIS Scheme of Professional Practice.

Full-time (37 hours per week), hybrid (home and Dundee House office).
