About the Role

Joining a team of 35, this is an opportunity to embark on a career in tax within our Tax department. The successful candidate will receive full study support to complete the ACA joint pathway qualification, gaining hands-on experience while working with a variety of clients. The joint pathway allows candidates to study for both ACA and CTA qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist team members with corporate tax-related assignments, including preparation of corporate tax returns and all aspects of tax administration and management.
  • Build rapport with other departments to develop a clear understanding of internal and external business tax requirements.
  • Assist in tax research and preparation of first drafts of corporation tax advisory reports.
  • Liaise and correspond with clients and H M Revenue & Customs.

Requirements

  • 2.1 degree.
  • Minimum A-level grades of B, B, C (or equivalent, excluding general studies).
  • Grade B/6 or above in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent).
  • No previous professional exam study required.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to write and present professional reports is an advantage.
  • Keen interest in pursuing a career in tax with a commitment to completing examinations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Able to work under pressure and manage workload and expectations.
  • Confident in client-facing interactions.
  • Awareness of the business tax environment, bookkeeping, or similar industry knowledge.
