Graduate Practical Nurse (GPN)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under the supervision of an RN, including administering medications and treatments.
• Auxiliary in the development and implementation of care plans for residents.
• Maintain vigilance over patient progress and promptly communicate any changes to the supervising RN.
• Offer personal care services such as hygiene, mobility, and feeding assistance to residents.
• Earn compliance with healthcare regulations and safety protocols.
• Accurately document patient information and keep records updated.
• Engage in team meetings and collaborate with the nursing team to improve patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate Practical Nurse (GPN) license in good standing.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is preferred.
• Strong communication, clinical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under the supervision of an RN and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of patient care protocols and regulatory guidelines.
