GRADUATE NURSE - PSYCHIATRY

Job Summary

The Graduate Nurse (GN) provides nursing care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse (RN). They apply the nursing process and perform delegated functions in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and CHMC policies.

Education

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (AA, BSN, or MSN).

Experience

• New Graduate Nurse

Other Requirements

• Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
• BLS Required

Registration/Certification/Licensure

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.

Must Have

• Must be in pursuit of licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Must take NCLEX exam with 90 days of hire.
• May not continue practicing as a GN if NCLEX is failed.
