About the role

MidState Medical Center is actively hiring Registered Nurses (RN) for our Med Surg units across multiple hours and shifts. Our Med Surg Registered Nurses have the opportunity to practice at the top of their license, using research, innovation and evidence-based practices. We offer our Registered Nurses clinical instruction and additional learning opportunities as you complete your Med Surg Nurse Residency.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties
• Practice at the top of your license using research, innovation and evidence-based practices
• Participate in clinical instruction and additional learning opportunities through the Med Surg Nurse Residency program

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN License required within 90 days of hire
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association
• One-year recent Acute Care RN experience preferred

Schedule

7p-7a three nights each week with every 3rd weekend and rotating holiday commitments.
