About the role
Saint Joseph Health System, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking an Associate Program Director to join their well-established, unopposed 9-9-9 Family Medicine Residency program in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and didactic teaching across inpatient, outpatient, and specialty rotations within the full spectrum of Family Medicine.
- Offer mentorship, coaching, and individualized learning plans to support residents in achieving competency milestones.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment and exemplify professionalism and patient-centered care.
- Maintain an active clinical practice, providing care to patients of all ages in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Serve as an attending physician on inpatient service, clinic precepting, obstetrics, and procedural training.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) from an accredited institution.
- American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) certified or American Board of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ABOFP) eligible physician.
- Eligible for or currently hold an active, unrestricted medical license in the state of Indiana.
- Familiarity with ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education) program requirements, competency-based education, and milestones, preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum, mentor residents, and deliver effective didactic and bedside teaching.
- Mets all current ACGME requirements for the position at the time of application.
