Graduate Intern-Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track & Field

About the Role

Batten University, an NCAA Division III institution and member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, is seeking a Men’s and Women's Track and Field Graduate Assistant. The position reports to the Head Men's and Women's Track and Field Coach and assists with all aspects of the program.

Responsibilities

• Recruit quality student-athletes
• Assist with scheduling, managing, and coaching meets
• Plan and conduct practices
• Organize team travel
• Monitor student-athletes’ academic progress
• Maintain equipment
• Assist with fundraising and other administrative duties assigned by the Head Coach
• Ensure compliance with NCAA, Old Dominion Athletic Conference, and institutional rules and regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Valid driver’s license and insurable by the university’s auto insurance carrier
• Preference given to applicants with college coaching experience and/or experience as a college track and field student-athlete
