Graduate Fall Intern, Venture Studio & Investing
About the role
Launch Factory is a San Diego-based venture studio and early-stage fund investing across pre-seed, seed, and Series A in vertical AI companies building in proptech, healthcare, fintech, and defense/dual-use tech. We write non-lead checks alongside top pre-seed and seed funds, and we also build companies ourselves through our Studio arm, partnering with corporates to spin up new ventures from scratch.
This isn't a "sit in on calls and take notes" internship. You'll work across both sides of the business:
- Studio side: Help build and validate new company concepts from zero — market research, founder sourcing, early product thinking, and go-to-market experiments for ventures we're incubating with corporate partners.
- Investing side: Source and evaluate deals against our thesis, support diligence on active pipeline companies, and help maintain our deal flow systems.
The AI-native part: We expect you to use AI to operate like a team of three. We're not looking for someone who writes a research memo by hand over two days — we're looking for someone who uses AI tools to move at 10x speed on sourcing, market maps, competitive landscapes, and diligence synthesis, and spends the time you save on judgment and original thinking instead.
Qualifications
Preference for graduate students and recent graduates (MBA, Master's, or equivalent).
Benefits
- Direct exposure to how a venture studio actually builds companies.
- Real diligence reps on live deals.
- Mentorship from a small, fast-moving team of investors and operators.
