Graduate Engineer
About the job
Participate in a rotational learning program to acquire necessary skills and knowledge to provide support to essential business functions including, but not limited to Operations, Maintenance, and Process Engineering. Learns the manufacturing process of lime production, technology, cost, and efficiency. Supports various business units and participate within their workflows to help achieve their goals. Collaborates with teammates within business units at various levels within the organization and cultivate those relationships. Participates in cross-functional training with the intention of becoming a resource for other departments including operations, maintenance, reliability, quality, R&D, and mine, etc.
Completes value-added projects including inspections, audits, equipment replacement etc. Uses tools such as statistical analysis to reduce variation and increase process capability. Assists departments during equipment outages and other planned maintenance events; completing activities as directed. Presents to upper management, as required.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree, Engineering field preferred
- Experience: One year or less
- Skills: Decision making, action oriented, collaborative
- Abilities: Communicate with various departments, troubleshoot issues, learn a large amount of content in a fast-paced environment, Flexibility to rotate to other departments and handle changes in training schedules and trainer, activities, and assigned processes
