About the role
Provides direct patient care in a clinical setting under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional. Assists with patient assessments, treatments, and medication administration.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient assessments, including vital signs and health history collection.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by a healthcare provider.
- Support healthcare providers during procedures and treatments.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during care delivery.
- Document patient interactions and care activities accurately.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer literacy.
Skills
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR).
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Experience with medical equipment and supplies.
