Graduate Digital Design Electrical Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a recent college graduate with a BSc/MSc in Electrical or Computer Engineering (EE/ECE) to join our Infrastructure Power team in Austin, TX as a full-time Digital Design Electrical Engineer. This role offers the opportunity to work with an expert team on advanced digital power ICs, contributing to industry-leading chips through digital design, verification, debug, simulation, and automation script development.
Responsibilities
- Develop, debug, and verify digital designs in pre- and post-silicon environments.
- Write tests to verify digital designs.
- Learn, develop, and improve scripts to facilitate design automation flows.
- Document design requirements, architecture, and implementation.
- Research and present new tools to aid the design development process.
Requirements
- BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (EE/ECE).
- Comfortable with debugging mixed-signal designs in SystemVerilog-based test benches.
- Project work demonstrating collaborative and innovative thinking.
- Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python or Perl.
- Strong analytical skills and debug methodology.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working experience with Cadence or Synopsys design tools (e.g., SimVision or Verdi).
- Knowledge of ARM Cortex M-series processors and computer architecture.
- Academic experience with serial interfaces.
- Exposure to mixed-signal designs with an academic understanding of basic analog circuits.
- Prior industry employment or internship experience in a relevant field.
