About the Program
The Assistant Hall Director position is part of the Student Personnel Assistantship Program (SPA) for students pursuing a Master of Arts in Higher Education in Student Affairs (HESA). This two-year program aligns with the Council for the Advancement of Standards (C.A.S.) in Student Life, emphasizing a "theory to practice" approach to prepare graduates for careers in housing and student affairs.
About the Role
Assistant Hall Directors are live-in residence hall staff who support the selection, training, and supervision of paraprofessional staff. They assist with student problem-solving, referrals, advising, and the management of residence hall programs, services, and activities that contribute to student development.
Requirements
- Enrollment in or admission to the Higher Education in Student Affairs (HESA) graduate program at The Ohio State University for the 2026-2027 academic year.
