The Academic Coaching Department

The Academic Coaching Department in the Coastal Student Success Center is seeking applicants for a Graduate Assistant for the 26-27 year. The Academic Coaching Department provides all students with support focused on big picture academic skills, such as time management, studying, or note-taking. Academic Coaching does not provide tutoring and is not content specific.

Responsibilities

• Meet with undergraduate students who have either received a referral from faculty or staff member or students who self-select to seek academic support.
• Refer students to other campus resources as appropriate.
• Show empathy and possess strong communication skills.
• Keep information confidential.
• Meet with students Monday-Thursday during morning, afternoon, and evening hours.
