Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating the monthly newsletter, faculty updates, and announcements including the creation of resources/templates/displays for program promotion and operation.
  • Assist with recruitment and retention initiatives, including managing social media and community outreach, and coordinating with NSSLHA and interested student volunteers.
  • Organization and inventory management of department/program resources and materials.
  • Assist with scheduling and organization of department, program, and clinic meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned by Chair/Program Director and Coordinator of Clinical Education.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in the first year of the Gannon University Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program in Erie, Pennsylvania.
  • Must have demonstrated academic excellence as an undergraduate student with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  • Must demonstrate strong time-management, organizational skills, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in or comfortable learning and using a variety of software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and other cloud-based productivity and collaboration tools.
  • Must be able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with faculty, staff, clinic patients and families, and fellow graduate students.
  • Must demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines.

Schedule

  • Part-time, 10-month position.
  • 10 hours per week.
  • Flexible office hours within class schedule.
  • 1st shift.
