About the role

A student will co-teach undergraduate laboratory (CHM 218 Monday 2:00-4:50 lab) with Dr. Madelyn Jackstadt. The assistant will prepare chemical solutions, standardized samples, and other materials needed for upper-level teaching laboratories in the department. Preparation, testing, and maintenance of chemical analysis instruments may also be required. Tasks will be performed under the supervision of the professor responsible for the teaching laboratory.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Undergraduate student majoring in Chemistry or related field
  • Strong academic performance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory safety procedures
