About the role

Accounting/Finance employees will typically begin their ConocoPhillips career in Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Houston, Texas; or Midland, Texas. There are also limited opportunities available in Anchorage, Alaska. Job description and responsibilities will vary depending on the first job assignment. The Finance organization has new hire positions in Financial and Commercial Services, Financial and Performance Analysis, Treasury, and Audit.

Responsibilities

  • Providing accounting, business analysis, and decision support to operations and management.
  • Performing revenue, cost or investment accounting, government reporting, and working with other companies on crude, gas or product imbalances and exchanges.
  • Conducting internal auditing, management reporting and analysis, and credit administration.
  • Attending the Finance Onboarding Program during the first year, which includes training sessions led by experienced Finance professionals, introduces upstream oil and gas operations concepts, and provides insight into the company’s differentiating strategy.

Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer and/or education institution.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, other business-related field, or foreign equivalent.
  • Current level in college: Senior or Graduate Student.
  • Expected graduation date: Fall 2026 through Spring/Fall 2027.
  • At least 9 hours of Accounting upon graduation (preferred).
  • Willing to work in Midland, TX.
  • A minimum cumulative and major GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
