About the role
The Graduate Academic Advisor advises students on academic programs, curriculum, college and university academic policies and procedures. The advisor works directly with graduate students in a variety of disciplines to foster their academic success.
Responsibilities
- Provide single point of contact advising service to an assigned group of students from admission through graduation to retain students.
- Effectively communicate the curriculum and graduation requirements for program, college and university academic policies and procedures.
- Build collaborative relationships with academic program faculty, Department Chairs and staff to ensure a cohesive student experience.
- Participate in department and college meetings as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely student records and perform and interpret degree audits including ensuring that student registrations are processed in a timely manner each term.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, required.
- At least one year of experience in academic advising, counseling or other student support role, ideally in a higher education setting.
- Familiarity and experience working with Microsoft Office tools (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Pay
The salary range of the grade for this position is $42,671.00 to $59,740 annually.
