Graduate Academic Advisor (Tampa Campus)

About the role

The Graduate Academic Advisor advises students on academic programs, curriculum, college and university academic policies and procedures. The advisor works directly with graduate students in a variety of disciplines to foster their academic success.

Responsibilities

• Provide single point of contact advising service to an assigned group of students from admission through graduation to retain students.
• Effectively communicate the curriculum and graduation requirements for program, college and university academic policies and procedures.
• Build collaborative relationships with academic program faculty, Department Chairs and staff to ensure a cohesive student experience.
• Participate in department and college meetings as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely student records and perform and interpret degree audits including ensuring that student registrations are processed in a timely manner each term.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, required.
• At least one year of experience in academic advising, counseling or other student support role, ideally in a higher education setting.
• Familiarity and experience working with Microsoft Office tools (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Pay

The salary range of the grade for this position is $42,671.00 to $59,740 annually.
