Temp job opening for objective grading of cross-listed courses ARI 410/510. This role is limited to grading and recording student assessments; it does not involve instruction, subjective grading, mentoring, or tutoring.
About the role
ARI 410 - Machine Learning: Study of machine learning, a subfield of artificial intelligence intersecting with statistics, cognitive science, information theory, optimization, and probability theory. Topics include linear discriminants, neural networks, decision trees, support vector machines, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning. Students build systems that learn and adapt from real-world data. Graded ABCDE.
Responsibilities
- Perform objective grading and record student assessments as directed by the course instructor, following prescribed methods and required response time.
Requirements
- Must be a current UM-Flint Undergraduate Student.
- Familiarity with Python.
- Experience training and evaluating machine learning models.
- Understanding of fundamental machine learning algorithms and best practices.

- Ability to be responsive to the instructor’s needs in terms of reliability, communication, accuracy, and timeliness.
Schedule
- Part-Time
- Temporary position (8/24/2026 - 8/31/2026).
Pay
$15.00 per hour.
Modes of Work
Hybrid: Work may be performed both onsite and offsite, with an expected recurring onsite presence. Occasional onsite work may be required as needed.
