About the role
The Graded Exercise Technician attaches patients to electrocardiography machines and/or heart monitors to record electrocardiograms. The Technician operates graded exercise stress monitoring equipment to provide data to physicians for diagnosing and treating heart disorders/disease. Responsibilities include arranging equipment, gathering pertinent patient information, explaining test procedures to patients, attaching leads, and operating equipment.
Pay
$18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity.
Schedule
This is an hourly position.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Prior experience as an EKG Technician, Monitor Technician, or EMT.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.
Qualifications
- EKG certification (preferred).
- Two years of on-the-job experience in EKG interpretation (preferred).
