Grade Checker

About the role

We take on the biggest, most complex mass excavation projects from San Diego to LA. We’re seeking an exceptional grade checker who can confidently guide LB3 iron in building successful projects.

Responsibilities

• Reading plans, cut / fill maps, and stakes for large excavation projects
• Setting accurate grading stakes and hubs
• Using the latest GPS technology such as rovers etc. to check grade efficiently
• Safely working around heavy equipment in production settings
• Communicating with others including operators and managers

Requirements

• Living a drug-free life (must pass pre-employment drug screen)

Qualifications

• Good at reading plans, cut / fill maps, and stakes for large excavation projects
• Proficient in using the latest GPS technology such as rovers etc. to check grade efficiently
• Safe working environment around heavy equipment
• Positive attitude and effective communication skills

Skills

• Excellent reading and comprehension skills
• Knowledge of earthmoving and excavation techniques
• Ability to operate and maintain GPS technology
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
