About the role

Lynnhaven Middle School seeks a dedicated and experienced Grade 7 English Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach English Language Arts to students in grades 7
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards
• Assess student progress and provide feedback through formal and informal assessments
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary units and activities
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices

Requirements

• Valid Virginia teaching license
• At least three years of successful teaching experience at the middle school level
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Experience with differentiated instruction
• Knowledge of current educational technology tools
• Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and support staff
