Mary Snow School is seeking a Grade 4/5 Accelerated Teacher with proper Maine Teacher Certification and endorsement 020.

Responsibilities

• Create a flexible elementary grade program and class environment favorable to learning and personal growth.
• Communicate effectively with staff members, pupils, and parents.
• Participate actively in the grade level team.
• Establish good relationships with parents and other staff members.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
• Teach reading, writing, social studies, mathematics, and science, while supporting art, health, physical education, and music instruction to pupils in the classroom, utilizing curriculum adopted by the Bangor School Department and using a workshop model framework of instruction.

Qualifications

• Proper Maine Teacher Certification and endorsement 020.
• Experience teaching in an accelerated program preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support student learning.

Pay

$47,549 - $108,355 annually, depending on education level and experience.
