The Waldorf School of Baltimore seeks a full-time third grade Class Teacher to join our vibrant faculty. Founded in 1971, we are dually accredited by AWSNA and AIMS and serve children from Pre-K (2.5+) through Grade 8. Our campus includes a purpose-built facility overlooking the city, a Forest Kindergarten program, and a variety of outdoor spaces.
Essential Job Duties
- Plan and teach Main Lesson blocks, language arts, math, and other core subjects as appropriate to the grade.
- Integrate the arts, direct class plays, guide field trips and class activities, and engage with seasonal festivals.
- Collaborate with subject teachers, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree required.
- Waldorf trained or willing to enroll in School-sponsored Waldorf training.
- Effective classroom management and teaching skills.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Flexibility, creativity, patience, and humor.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.
