Grad Pharmacist

Responsibilities

• Apply didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice
• Complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation
• Support pharmacy teams to ensure smooth operations, prompt and accurate prescription fulfillment, and caring service
• Operate as part of the pharmacy team, applying Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and communicating effectively
• Develop empathy and genuine care, contributing to a safe and inclusive culture
• Take on greater accountability for supporting management, oversight, and operations within the pharmacy
• Support additional patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing
• Comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles

Requirements

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
• Attention and focus: ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
• Customer service and team orientation: actively looking for ways to help people, and do so in a friendly manner
• Communication skills: using and understanding verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues
• Problem resolution: identifying challenging patient or colleague interactions and choosing the best course of action
• Physical demands: be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time

Qualifications

• Ability to work in home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
