About the role

We are looking for a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your pharmacy education in a real-world setting, supporting our pharmacy teams and preparing for a Pharmacist role.

Responsibilities

  • Apply didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice
  • Complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation
  • Support pharmacy operations, ensuring prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy and genuine care
  • Assist with inventory activities, as permitted by law
  • Support immunizations and other patient health care services, where allowable by law and supported by required training and certification

Requirements

  • PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
  • Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
  • Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
  • Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
  • Attention and Focus: Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
  • Customer Service and Team Orientation: Actively look for ways to help people, and do so in a friendly manner
  • Communication Skills: Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues
  • Problem Resolution: Identify challenging patient or colleague interactions and choose the best course of action when faced with multiple options

Qualifications

  • PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
  • Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
  • Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
  • Ability to work in home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
