About the role
We are looking for a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to join our team. This role offers challenging opportunities to learn and grow professionally, with a focus on improving health care for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Apply didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation
- Support pharmacy teams to ensure smooth operations and patient satisfaction
- Assist with patient safety and error prevention
- Contribute to positive patient experiences
- Support immunizations and other services
- Support inventory activities as permitted by law
- Support additional patient health care services as allowable by law
Requirements
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Attention and Focus: Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
- Customer Service and Team Orientation: Actively look for ways to help people, and do so in a friendly manner
- Communication Skills: Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues
- Problem Resolution: Identify challenging patient or colleague interactions and choose the best course of action when faced with multiple options
- Physical Demands: Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
- Express or exchange ideas by means of spoken word where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed accurately
Qualifications
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
