About the role

We are seeking a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your didactic learning from pharmacy school and pharmacy practice in a real-world setting, preparing you for a Pharmacist role.

Responsibilities

  • Apply didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice
  • Complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation
  • Support pharmacy teams to ensure smooth operations, prompt prescription filling, and accurate dispensing
  • Provide empathetic and caring service to patients
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences through various services like immunizations and point-of-care testing
  • Support immunizations, including vaccine preparation and administration, monitoring adverse reactions, and educating patients
  • Contribute to a high-performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge
  • Comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles, ensuring patient safety and privacy

Requirements

  • PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
  • Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
  • Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
  • Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
  • Attention and focus: Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time, pivot quickly, and confirm prescription information and label accuracy
  • Customer service and team orientation: Actively look for ways to help people, communicate effectively, and respond appropriately to patients and colleagues
  • Mathematical reasoning: Ability to use math to solve problems, such as determining the total number of tablets to dispense
  • Problem resolution: Identify challenging patient or colleague interactions and choose the best course of action
  • Physical demands: Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and move items between low and high positions

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
