About the role
We are looking for a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to join our team. As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will have the opportunity to apply your didactic learning from pharmacy school and pharmacy practice into real-world practice. Your role will involve assisting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, filling prescriptions accurately, and providing excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
- Apply didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice
- Support pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations
- Fill prescriptions accurately and safely
- Provide excellent patient care, including counseling, answering medical questions, and offering vaccinations
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive culture
- Support immunizations, if allowed by law and supported by required training and certification
Requirements
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Attention and focus: Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
- Communication skills: Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues
- Problem resolution: Identify challenging patient or colleague interactions and choose the best course of action
- Physical demands: Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
- Close visual acuity to perform activities such as: transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small parts
Qualifications
