About the role

We are seeking a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in a fast-paced retail environment, applying your pharmacy education to real-world scenarios.

Responsibilities

  • Apply didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice
  • Complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation
  • Support pharmacy teams in ensuring smooth operations, prompt prescription filling, and accurate dispensing
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and inclusive culture, demonstrating empathy and genuine care
  • Take on greater accountability as tenure increases, managing pharmacy operations and supporting management
  • Support additional patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing

Requirements

  • PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program
  • Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe
  • Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
  • Attention and focus: ability to concentrate on tasks and pivot quickly
  • Customer service and team orientation: actively looking for ways to help people and responding appropriately
  • Communication skills: using and understanding verbal and written communication
  • Mathematical reasoning: using math to solve problems
  • Problem resolution: identifying and resolving challenging patient or colleague interactions
  • Physical demands: being mobile and remaining upright for extended periods

Qualifications

  • PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
  • Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
  • Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
  • Attention and focus: ability to concentrate on tasks and pivot quickly
  • Customer service and team orientation: actively looking for ways to help people and responding appropriately
  • Communication skills: using and understanding verbal and written communication
  • Mathematical reasoning: using math to solve problems

Skills

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite is preferred.

Pay

The typical pay range for this role is $23.75 - $42.00 per hour. This position is eligible for a range of benefits and programs that support the physical, emotional, and financial well-being of colleagues.
